As we already know, HTC has scheduled an event for 29th September which is next week. And everyone is assuming so far that it will roll out two devices at the event i.e. HTC One A9 and Butterfly 3. However, some information has come out of the leakers of all things HTC which reveals the above details to be partially correct.
The reports say that we can expect the Butterfly 3 to be reportedly announced at the occasion but the One A9 will not be unveiled at the event. Instead, HTC has a plan to unveil its next generation flagship model, One A9 in October. However, we can expect an updated model, One M9+ at the event.
Currently, we don’t have any specs to make comparison between the original phone and this upcoming One M9+. However, its camera might be enhanced with OIS and faster focusing if we look at the previous leaks.
Also, the reports reveal that the Butterfly 3 phone will only be released in the Chinese markets. While the rumors reveal that it might be based on this year’s J Butterfly for Japan and it’s still unclear which J Butterfly model we are talking about, the one which was announced in October or the one from July.
If we believe the past leaks, we can expect the One A9 to come packed with Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 617 SoC, which is a part of chip maker’s mid-range line. HTC’s upcoming One A9 could sport 5 inch touchscreen display with 1080 pixels resolution. There will be 16 GB expandable memory with 2 GB RAM. The phone will get 13 MP primary camera with OIS and a 4MP UltraPixel selfie camera. HTC has packed all these features on this phone with a 2,150 mAh batter backup support.
