HTC has just declared the Butterfly 3 smartphone to its previous year achieved flagship in polycarbonate attire, the Butterfly 2. This is essentially the same phone as the J Butterfly.
The new HTC Butterfly 3 is featured with a 5.2-inch QHD LCD display, Snapdragon 810 chipset, and 3 GB of RAM with the internal storage of 32 GB which could be extended up to 2TB via microSD (as we are yet to see a card beyond 200GB).
This phone is equipped with primary camera of 20.2MP of resolution on back, having a feature of secondary sensor to capture distance information resulting in Duo setup, which allows post-shot autofocusing with few other creative effects. This lens is a Sapphire crystal-protected f/2.2 27.8mm-equivalent with a dual-tone dual-LED flash which helps in the dark. Also, it supports 4K video recording.
A 13 MP Selfie shooter adorns the front of the phone with a BSI sensor and can shoot videos up to 1080p. The lens has a faster f/2.0 capture. The HTC butterfly 3 is powered with Android 5.0 lollipop with sense 7 on top.
According to HTC specification sheet this smartphone has dimensions of 150.99 x 72.99 x 9.99mm, but it has been planned to drop those 9s for much neater 151 x 73 x 10mm. It weight is 161g with a 2,700mAh battery and carries an IP57 rating with a rocking feature of dust and water protection.
