Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL: Five Important things

Microsoft recently released its Lumia 950 and 950 XL, which are its top-end flagship phones. The pricing for UK has also been released by Microsoft. As we know, the Lumia line of the company is restricted to uninspiring budget and mid-range efforts that have done only little to boost the Windows in the smartphone world. As per reports, the recently unveiled Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL come with the features that can compete easily against the Apple and Samsung.

1) Two Sizes:

Microsoft has released two different smartphone this time. A smaller Lumia 950 which sports 5.2 inch display and the larger Lumia 950 XL which comes with 5.7 inch. Both these phones come with QHD HD screens. The only fact between both these phones is chipset. Also, the smaller phone uses a hexacore processor with 1.8 GHz clock speeds while the larger model is an octa core with 2 GHz speed.

2) Glance:

With these smartphones, Microsoft has brought back the killer smartphone features pf Nokia, Glance. This is a clever tool which allows you to see the key information on your device’s lock screen without having any need to press a button. Microsoft claims that the app will not use any battery and will start working as soon you pull the phone out of your pocket.

3) Camera Smarts:

Microsoft has finally released a phone with imaging skills that were brought from Nokia. Both the lumia phones have a 20MP sensor with Zeiss optics. There is a triple LED flash, which will make your low light pictures look less naff. There is a dedicated camera button on both the phones along with the optical image stabilization feature.

4) Windows 10 Skills:

Microsoft has packed the new Windows 10 operating system on these phone, which works across the mobile and desktop, with full suite of productivity applications. Thus, the phones have Office, Skype, Outlook, OneDrive and Cortana on board. The Continuum feature which was seen first earlier this year, allows you to run either phone as a small desktop computer, depending on whether you can connect a keyboard or mouse.

5) USB-C:

Microsoft has also brought the USB-C port to the newly released Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. This means you will be able to power your phone up faster within 30 minutes giving you 50% of battery backup.
