Huawei’s Mate 7 was packed with a metal unibody, spacious 6.0 inch display, 13MP rear snapper, a super- fast fingerprint scanner. All these features made it stand as a real tough device. We are expecting something even better from the Chinese OEM, which is yet to reveal the Mate 8 smartphone which though looks quite impressive.
We already have a number of leaks of the upcoming phablet with a number of photos. But the information seemed to often get mixed into the leaks. Now, a new source has just revealed the specifications for this upcoming device. As per source, the phone will come packed with a 6.0 inch display with 1440 pixels resolution and the OEMs new custom Kirin 950 chipset.
Huawei’s phone promises to deliver unprecedented power with a 16 nm FinFET production process and a big.LITTLE architecture. There will be four Cortex A72 cores with 2.4 GHz clock speeds, while the extra four Cortex A53 cores run at 2.0 GHz speed. It has been powered by a Snapdragon 810 chip and Samsung Exynos 7420.
The manufacturer as bundled it with a graphics processor which is quite impressive, ARM Mali T880. This GPU is joined with an i7 co-processor and a Tensilica Hi-Fi 4 independent audio chip. Remaining specifications of the phone include 32GB or 64GB onboard storage respectively along with 3GB and 4GB RAM.
