HTC is being criticized heavily on making its device’s look like an iPhone, since the One A9 is launched. Now, in answer a senior executive from the company says in defense of the handset that it’s actually Apple who copied them in its iPhone 6 design.
HTC’s North Asia President Jack Tong said that “We’re not copying. We made a unibody metal clad phone in 2013. It’s Apple that copies us in terms of antenna design on the back.”
Here, in the statement Tong is actually referring to the One M7 phone from 2013, which has a aluminium body and antenna lines on the back. We can say that he has some weight in the statement as iPhone 6 was launched in 2014. Also, it doesn’t justify the fact that One A9 has copied almost every other design aspect from the new iPhones from Apple.
