According to the reports, Motorola has now started rolling out its first Android Marshmallow updates to the Moto X Style and Moto X (2nd Generation). However, the reports reveal that the update will make it to the handsets in stages, as the roll out is a slow one. As per sources, only Moto X Style units in Brazil and India along with the Moto X 2nd generation units in Brazil are receiving the Android Lollipop for now.
Also, there are reports that full deployment might take a few more weeks. Further, you can’t initiate the process manually, but would need to wait for the update notification to show up on your phone even if you are in one of those two countries.
Motorola will soon release Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its Moto X Style and Moto X (2nd generation) phones in some more territories soon. In the meantime, the company has announced this update for the Moto X Pure Edition (3rd generation). Some of the fans of Motorola are already angry upon not committing to bring Marhsmallow to some of its devices (such as Moto E or certain carrier branded Moto X models).
