This was in rumors earlier that the upcoming P9 handset from the Chinese manufacturer Huawei will be launched in March this year. But the latest reports, confirmed by an analyst Pan Jiutang from China, have revealed that this phone will be made official by the manufacturer sometime during its pre-CES event, which is to be held on January 5.
As per reports, this upcoming smartphone will get a 6GB RAM which is something more than what is packed in a standard Laptop. There will be a dual rear camera setup and the same Kirin 950 chipset as was available with its predecessor. However, this smartphone was already reported in some previous reports with a dual camera but the 6GB RAM is reported newly. Other specifications on the phone include a 5.2 inch display and a fingerprint sensor.
The sources also reveal that this handset will get three variants just like its predecessor the specs for these are not yet confirmed. According to our sources, these three variants will be named as Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Lite and Huawei P9 Max.
With the CES event kicking off, we have been seeing plenty of leaks showing the various devices planned to be released this year. We already have seen a few details including a teaser for Huawei Honor X3 tablet; however this is not the all in store for the tech giant.
