BlackBerry said back in November 2015, that it is targeting the Android Marshmallow update for its Priv smartphone sometime in the New Year. Now, the company has revealed that it will not be sending the update before the end of the Q1, 2016. Thus, the owners of the BlackBerry Priv handset will have to wait for some more time to find out when they can enjoy the Marshmallow update.
During a presentation at CES event, the executive from Canadian giant Ron Louks stated that the update will be released sometime later in the first quarter of this year. He also stated that there is a possibility of some third party accessories being manufactured for the Priv smartphone in the next few weeks.
According to the reports, BlackBerry might make these announcements at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain to be held in late February. Yesterday only, the Canadian giant made this smartphone available in three more European countries.
