We have been hearing news that the Samsung Galaxy S7 chipset strategy will split, i.e. some models will get the Exynos 8890 chipset while the other will come packed by a Snapdragon 820 chipset. Last week, we saw the Samsung’s Exynos 8890 processor to take a swing at the Kirin 950. Now, the phone has passed through the GeekBench 3 benchmark test and has thus provided us with an opportunity to compare both the versions of this upcoming smartphone.
The Snapdragon 820 chipset expected to come packed on Galaxy S7 phone loses on the multi-core performance. However, it does good work on the single core fight for the 2,282 for Snapdragon 820 and 1,873 for Exynos 8890 chipset. The current Snapdragon result is behind the Exynos 7420 chip, which is quite old now and the earlier benchmarks have shown that the Snapdragon 820 was leading.
