Yesterday, it was made clear that Samsung has started rolling out the Android 6.0.1 update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge+ phone’s international version. Thus, it’s clear that these handsets will score a few new features in the coming days. Also, it’s great news as most of us were waiting long to see the new Android Marshmallow on the international version of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge handsets.Samsung updated its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge phones to Android 6.0 in South Korea last month only.

As per reports, the information has come out of a blog post published by a domineering Android vendor. The blog post announced that TouchWiz flavored Android Marshmallow is now rolling out for the international version of these handsets, starting 15th February. Only these two devices will be receiving the update starting today but the reports reveal that other compatible devices will also follow the update in the near future.

The Korean giant announced that separate announcements for the update with release schedule and some additional details will be disclosed once it is the right time. It is revealed that the update will get rolled out for the unlocked Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge phones and not their carrier specific versions.

As long the features are concerned, this new Android Marshmallow update brings along features such as Doze, which improves the standby battery performance and Google Now on Top, which provides contextual information about whatever is shown on the screen of your smartphone.
