Samsung seems all set to announce its long awaited Galaxy Note 7 Edge phone. This handset was initially thought to be the sibling of Note 6. It is reported that the Galaxy Note 7 Edge phone will be launched by the Korean giant on 2nd August. The manufacturer has already sent out invites to a special launch event for this handset, which is to be held in New York.
As per this invitation, the Korean giant is expected to hold a press briefing at the Lincoln center of New York. The invitation for this event features five curved stripes that are designed to look like number 7 and a tagline “The next edge is just around the corner”.
Previously, it was being thought that the new phablet of Samsung will be called the Galaxy Note 6. But now the reports reveal at the Korean manufacturer will skip the number in order to bring the Galaxy Note range into line with the newly released Samsung Galaxy S7 line up.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 Edge phone will come packed in a curved display, which measures around 5.8 inches. There will be a large 4,000 mAh battery with long hours of talk time and stand by. This handset comes with iris recognition technology along with ultra- fast charging.
If we believe that all these speculations about the upcoming smartphone from Samsung are correct then the phone maker will also look to steal the limelight from Apple by releasing it a month before the iPhone 7 is rolled out. Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 handset is expected to offer some minor improvements in comparison to the existing iPhone devices from the Cupertino’s giant.
