When Apple was busy with announcing its iPhone 7 Plus, which is its first smartphone with a dual rear camera, HTC reminded the world through twitter that it already had this camera on its One M8 android phone about 2 years ago.
However, in the tweet HTC has not mentioned Apple but we know it well that the manufacturer was talking about the Cupertino giant and its iPhone 7 Plus. Also, we know that the HTC One M8 is the first ever smartphone in the world to get a dual camera. This camera captured depth information to enable you to edit your photos and refocus, either on the foreground or on the background. But the dual lens camera of the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus handset brings something new to this feature. Further, the camera features of an Apple designed phone will get a wide angle lens, a telephoto lens and 2x optical zoom. This camera is better for potraits and will deliver good bokeh effects.

In actual, the Taiwanese giant had a dual rear snapper on its smartphone, the Evo 3D in the year 2011. However, the pair of lens on this phone was used to create stereographic 3D images, which was not able to attract users. Thus, this camera cannot be considered in the same category as the shooters of One M8 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus.
We can’t deny the fact that HTC has tried to innovate mobile industry time and time again but until you have patented a technology, other companies are always bound to use your innovation and make it even better.
