Motorola has been on the top of game for so long now that it seems almost inevitable that its latest handset, Moto G5, will also take over the budget smartphone market. Moto G5 was unveiled in Barcelona at MWC 2017, and follows a similar array to the predecessor Moto G4. This phone has been improved on its already stellar predecessor with an updated metal design and is smaller. Aside from the new aluminum case, you will also notice a smaller screen in G5.

Display or Screen Size:
While there was a 5.5 inch display on Moto G4, the new G5 phones screen is made smaller than the predecessor. Lenovo-owned Motorola G5 comes with the much more comfortable 5 inch display. This phone fixes the real issues that we faced with the last year’s phone, Moto G4. Motorola’s new handset feels more comfortable on your hand, and the smaller size with its metal design, make the phone feel more compact and refined.
The display of Moto G5 is a Full HD, which looks as vibrant as the excellent panel from its predecessor. With smaller screen, things look sharper. There is a fingerprint scanner, which was also available on the Moto G4 Plus phone. It is a feature that helps this device stands out in the budget phone market.

Design and Features:
Motorola has brought a big change in 2017’s model by dumping the funky, colorful plastic look of this phone and giving it a fully metal chassis. The G5 sports a slightly more rounded, friendly look, which makes it appear more sharp –edged and chiseled, with slightly bulging camera housing. This phone is not slippery and has been provided with the right amount of grip and fine-grained matte finish on the rear.
PC Advisor thoughts about it’s looks – This is a phone that feels and looks well-made – ‘cheap’ never once sprang to mind. It’s simple, it’s elegant, and there aren’t many better looking phones that will cost you this little.
Motorola Moto G5 sports a 13 MP primary camera, with f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, geo tagging, and many other features. The secondary camera has a 5 MP wide-angle front camera, which can be used to click selfie pictures with great quality.
A nice article on G5 plus Camera @ dpreview.com – The Moto G5 Plus offers responsive operation in all situations and very decent image quality across the ISO range. We especially liked the textures and low noise levels in low light scenes.
The G5 phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz speed. There is a 2 GB RAM and an internal storage of 16GB. This smartphone has been provided with a 2000mAh battery, which is not much bigger. More interesting to note is how fast this phone will charge. With a 10 watt fast charger in the box, this handset will be able to give you lots of power in just a few minutes.
Moto G5 phone features support for Google Assistant, which is its artificial intelligence based digital assistant, and was limited to just pixel smartphones earlier. This feature has been praised by both the critics and users, as it can well understand the context of the questions on the basis of the queries asked in the conversation.
