Yes, thanks to a new leak Apple’s iPhone 8 finally gets a new name. Read on to know more about this in the article below.
Apple’s forthcoming special anniversary iPhone, which is designed to commemorate the 10 years of the company in the industry, might have finally got its much-awaited name and it is expected that the name might simply be the ‘iPhone X’.
According to some leaked documents, it has been seen that an iPhone box which features the new design is expected to be the upcoming iPhone. Well, the box isn’t certainly an Apple retail design, since it has been modified for carrying the Dutch telecom company KPN’s colour scheme.
Moreover, this isn’t the first time that the name X has been given credibility. Evan Blass, the reputed tech journalist had recently tweeted that it was informed to him that the upcoming device is set to be named as the iPhone X. However, some tech experts even believe that the KPN might have just made the box a mockup, by relying on Blass’ leak.
FWIW, I've also heard "iPhone X" (though not 8 / 8 Plus for the JV squad) as well as 9/15 pre-orders and 9/22 release / ship date.

It’s true that naming an anniversary phone, especially the iPhone has always been a difficult task. Neither can it be very twee nor can it be completely far from what the usual naming process is. Opting for the name “X” isn’t without any baggage. Apple has just got rid of that name for its desktop operating system, which is now simply known as macOS – formerly called as OS X. Though it has officially retired now, and 10’s Roman numeral being X, it definitely makes sense that Apple has decided to go for it as the name of its upcoming device.
Apple will be announcing the devices soon and tech lovers should prep themselves up for some amazing news. Keep reading for learning more updates!
