Last time when HTC teased an unveiling event for smartphone we all thought it to be its latest flagship phone, Aero (A9). But the ‘big’ reveal yesterday was the mid-range Desire 728 and therefore HTC’s next high-end offering Aero or A9 is still unofficial.
However, on the other hand there are reports that the Taiwanese giant has started sending out invitations for an event on 29th September, which will happen in Taiwan only. These invites mention something along the lines of “dual flagships”, which are expected to be unveiled on the occasion. We might see two smartphones released from the manufacturer at the event.
If we believe the Taiwanese media then the second phone which is expected to release on 29th September along with HTC’s high end flagship, HTC Aero is the Butterfly 3. However, we might also see an M9+ smartphone with an enhanced camera. But this can’t be real or we can say is just an intriguing prospect as nothing is really leaked about such a device so far. Just, this much is known about this device that it will get an optical image stabilization and faster focus.
As far Butterfly 3 is concerned, it is expected to hit the Taiwanese stores sometime in October for TWD 20,900 or €570 at the current exchange rates. This price of the handset is in line with that of its predecessor, Butterfly 2. We can expect the Butterfly 3 to make its way to Japan too.
