Sony Updates Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra with Android 5.1.1

As per reports, Sony is now rolling out the new Android 5.1.1 update for its three smartphones i.e. Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra. Last week, the company rolled out the same software for its Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z.

The devices which are getting the update this week are the successors of all the phones mentioned above. These are now quite old in the market, which makes the fact that the manufacturer is still supporting them. According to the reports, the update for all these three handsets will be on build number 14.6.A.0.368. Currently, the new update is live in only a few regions but is expected to spread across the other parts of the world in the coming days.

This new update will fix the issues with the Stagefright vulnerability and adds additional options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the notification menu. The new menu has some new Settings options and themes which will possibly integrate the LinkedIn with your contacts and calendar. On the other hand, the update is also expected to improve the camera focus, accuracy and speed.

In addition, you get improvements to the volume controls and silent mode control, new Xperia for Business features, instant calendar events, calendar agenda in Email.
